The e-commerce industry has, since its emergence,recorded an exponential growth. In 2019, ecommerce accounted for about $3.5 trillion in sales and this number is projected to increase to about $4.9 trillion by 2021. In the US alone, ecommerce is reported to represent over 10% of retail sales and this number is expected to grow by nearly 15% each year.In Nigeria, the ecommerce industry is estimated to have generated about $13 billion in 2018.
