COVID-19: Your Ability to Invoke the Force Majeure Clause- Adedoyin Fadare

The question of whether the COVID-19 affects commercial contracts in its entirety is a big question to ask. The reality emerged when a client sought my assistance to rescind a contract which she entered into last year. Upon appending her signature to the contract, it was never conceivable that she would rescind the contract based on a global pandemic. Her sole aim was either to suspend the contract or terminate it in its entirety basing her claim on the fact that the pandemic has rendered her incapable of continuing her obligations under the contract.
