- About Us
Mission & Vision
At The People’s Accolade Law Magazine (The PALM), we believe that The People should have access to useful legal knowledge in their palms. This is what we want to achieve.
Founded in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2013, with bases in Lagos and Nairobi, Kenya, The PALM was built on a single conviction: that legal knowledge should be freely accessible to all. Our inaugural magazine issue was launched in 2015, pushing the powerful narratives driving Africa’s legal landscape. By 2019, we had expanded our reach by launching The Millennial™. We also pioneered landmark events, including the African Millennials’ Law and Editorial Conference and the first-ever live interview of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) presidential candidates in 2020.
We have grown into a multi-publication institution operating five distinct publications: The PALM, The Millennial™, The StarLight™, The PALM Articles™, and The PALM News™, with an extensive readership across the African continent, the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, and China. The PALM is a registered trademark, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria, and holds an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN 2814-1784). Our editorial board of up to fifty editors spans Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, and Botswana, bound by a shared code of ethics.
Our vision is simple yet profound: to be the widest-reaching law magazine in the Afrocentric space. We want to continue to forge paths for fresh perspectives, critical thinking, and transformative stories that reflect the enduring spirit and resilience of law professionals, law aspirants, and the entire African community.
So, join us as we shape the future of Africa’s legal discourse – one story at a time.
