Halimah is currently an Assistant Editor at The People’s Accolade Law Magazine (The PALM), where she deploys her exceptional research, writing, and editing skills to educate readers about current African legal topics and trends. Halimah is dedicated to using literature and public service to address complex legal and societal issues. She has displayed leadership in several projects while upholding ethics and accountability, motivated by a strong sense of justice and transparency. She aims to encourage progress and make the world more equitable.
Halimah has authored essays and articles on a variety of issues, including alternative dispute resolution, medical law, environmental law, intellectual property law, and mental health awareness. She has won multiple prestigious scholarships, including the Nigerian Women’s Association of Georgia Scholarship Award twice for her research, writing, and academic excellence.
As a penultimate law student, she is particularly interested in energy and natural resources, data protection, human rights, intellectual property law, and alternative dispute resolution. She is committed to making a positive difference through her work, with a special emphasis on supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and raising mental health awareness.
