Princess Maake
Associate Editor
Princess started her journey with The People’s Accolade Law Magazine (The PALM) in 2020, during her first year as a law student at the University of South Africa. Her role as an Associate primarily focused on providing research assistance and spotlighting South Africa’s brightest legal talents for The Millennial and The StarLight editions, showcasing her passion for excellence and storytelling within the legal sphere.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Princess gained invaluable experience shadowing a district public prosecutor, immersing herself in legal aid case discussions alongside candidate attorneys and seasoned professionals. This exposure deepened her understanding of the dynamics within public legal practice. She further honed her skills as a legal assistant at a firm specialising in civil matters, where she mastered legal drafting and cultivated strong client relations.
Princess holds a Higher Certificate in Law and an LLB degree from the University of South Africa. Her commitment to growth is evident in her completion of virtual certifications with prestigious firms such as Bowman’s and Baker McKenzie through Forage. Currently, she is embarking on her pupillage with Basadi Ba Molao Bar, on the path to being admitted as an Advocate of South Africa.
