Stanley O. Omotor
Managing Editor, The PALM
Stanley is a Managing Editor at The People’s Accolade Law Magazine (The PALM), leading the publication’s flagship editorial initiatives. Before assuming this role, Stanley progressed through various editorial positions, serving as Editor and later Deputy Managing Editor. He was also the pioneer Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee of The PALM’s African Millennials’ Law and Editorial Conference in 2021. His leadership and editorial expertise significantly elevates the magazine’s standards.
In addition to his work at The PALM, Stanley contributed to the Canadian Parks Council (CPCIL) as a member of a research and knowledge-gathering team. His work focused on critical themes such as inclusion, eco-social justice, conservation, organisational sustainability, climate change, biodiversity, and ecotourism. This initiative aimed to promote effective, inclusive leadership within parks and protected areas across Canada. Stanley also authored the paper “Sustaining the Corporate Income Tax Rates of Small Businesses in Developing Economies: Lessons for Nigeria from Canada, South Africa, and the UK.”
Academically, Stanley made history as the first male student to graduate with a First Class degree from the Faculty of Law at Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. He continued his academic excellence at the Nigerian Law School, earning another First Class in 2018. His pursuit of legal scholarship reached new heights at the University of British Columbia, Canada, where he completed a Master of Laws (LL.M) in 2022, further cementing his reputation as a distinguished legal scholar. Stanley is called to the bar in Nigeria and British Columbia, Canada, and currently serves as an Associate at KPMG Law in Canada, specialising in tax advisory services.
